happy monday.

hey guys & gals - whats going on with you?

hope everyone had a fabulous weekend - mine was decent. enjoyed spending some time with old friends, attending the "Cherry" party in Austin and lounging around with the family on Sunday. Cherry was fun - got to see a lot of people I haven't seen in a long time. I must say though, it is very eerie to see the same faces I have seen in bars throughout Austin over and over again. Makes me really glad I don't live there anymore. The faces have remained the same while clothing and hairstyles have been updated. interesting. anyway, i blew in town and out didn't really stop to collect my $200.

anyway, monday has hit me like a ton of bricks - after 3 hours o flecture in biology and another 2 in interpersonal communication - school has definitely kicked in. I have spent the last 5 hours reading and doing homework with only a short break to watch my beloved L word show. God I love that show. I can't help but wonder if my "Shane" is out there and if so, would she honestly settle down for me? Hmm, lovely - the escape into television fantacies. My mother of course had to watch the show with me (which is really funny to me). Our awkward moments of watching chicks get it on have split for now - seeing as how we are well into the show now. She actually called me today ot remind me if was coming on - I think she has a memo set in her calendar for Monday nights. I am not complaining - it's great to have a really gay friendly mother. Hahahah.

What else..what else... well, as part of the trillion pages I am reading this evening - i have dove into my first study one particular religion - Hinduism. After completing half the chapter, I can say I don't want to be Hindi. Hahaha. The moralistic and intruistic stories that this cultural holds to is very interesting to read about. One story imparticular was the story of Ramayana - discussing a woman who has been accused of commiting adultry against her husband after being captured by this 14 headed demon - she swears she's innocent and upon the return of her sons to her husband, she asks the "supreme being" to return her body to the earth in a pile of ash to prove her innocence of infidelity. The supreme being disintegrates her immediately. Her innocence was proved. What a statement though? Guess her husband was proved wrong. That's just one of the many I have read so far though.

Leaving with one though - don't squash any bugs - it might be your relative. (Hindi's, ahh the Hindi's).

luv.
